| So who is Lost Legends Art & More? First of all hello and thank you for your interest in Lost Legends Art. My name is Tami, and I decided to do something part-time to earn some extra money. I've always had a love for artwork and that's originally what I was going to do with this site. However, things never go the way that you first see them going. I began to ponder on a few books that I've been working on and this made me think of a couple of friends of mine that also write books and short stories. Thus that section will be added to the website. Then I considered what other things I enjoy, for instance, we prefer Gothic decor in our house. So as soon as I get some of that stuff in I'll add it as well. Currently I'm scrambling in what little spare time I have to get an inventory together, so if you don't see anything that you like, please check back we will be getting more stuff in. Most of the pieces on this website are listed 30% or more below what most people retail these items at. I've done this because as a collector myself I get tired of paying high prices. I once bought a dragon for around $150.00. When the dragon arrived I was very disappointed to see that it was made of plastic. I have never bought anything from that particular company again because I do not think that a plastic dragon is worth $150. Also I have a love for festivals and find that the prices at these festivals are normally outrageous. I'm sure that the artists have put a lot of work into their pieces and they are very beautiful. However most people that go to festivals with what little money they can spare are not able to buy those high priced items. So this is why I try to keep my items low. I think that people that are just trying to make ends meet should be able to afford something nice every now and then. Limited Editions: Sketches The sketches will be reproduced as prints but only for a limited number. Right now we have not determined how many prints will be made. Some of this maybe calculated by how well each print is selling. Note to buyers: I thought I should add this little note in case anyone was wondering about how long this stuff can take. On average we spend anywhere from 5 to 25 hours on the paintings and digital art. Please keep this in mind when purchasing any of these items, a lot of work has gone into them and we take pride in each piece. We hope that you will enjoy them. |
| Prints Why buy a print from us? You might be wondering why you should buy a print from us? Why not just copy the pictures and print them out yourself? Well there are 4 reasons that I can think of. First of all I print these out at 300 dpi (dots per inch). This gives the picture a much smoother look, the pictures on the website are only 72 dpi. Second we use quality paper. Third we use a high quality printer. And last but not least, the artist signs, dates and will even put some kind of comment (if you wish) on the backs of each of these prints. You certainly can't get that from downloading a picture. I love a good piece of art, and there are several artist that I have found on the web that I would like to have copies (or originals) of their work. I do not download and print out the pictures that I find of their art work. I would rather buy one from them, they have put the effort into making beautiful works of art and they should be paid for it. It's as simple as that. |
| What is a Giclee print? Giclee is a French term that means "to squirt" and refers to the manner in which these prints are made. The result is a stunningly detailed archival print that resembles the original work of art. Selling points: * They are made to last several lifetimes, with archival inks on acid free paper. * They are beautifully matted in standard size mat windows, ready for you to take to your favorite pre-made frame store. There is no need to pay the extremely high custom framing prices with these prints. Each of our Giclee prints have a finished mat size of 18" x 24" which is a very common size frame available in most department and frame stores. * Hand signed making them a true collectors item. * For decorating and making a big impression, there is just nothing like these! Note: Not all of our art is offered in Giclee prints. I will be putting up a web page specifically for the pieces that are offered in this style of print. |

| Commission work I will now be taking orders for commission work. Please email me with what you want and what medium (computer, acrylic painting, pencil drawing, etc.) you would like to see it in. Also the size that you would like. I charge an hourly fee, $8.00 per hour for any medium.
